Gas tank flapper - need dome help

Hi all,
Been reading these forums for a while and happy to join.

Need a hand, could swear that when i was fueling my 2011 ltd 4runner that the metal flapper on the opening of the fuel tank pipe fell off and dropped in. I don't think it will cause any problems if it did, but can anyone with a 5th gen 4runner check there car please?

The service guy i spoke with at my dealer said he checked tthe lot and the 2012's dont have it. Can some 2010, 2011, and 2012 owners check and chime in. Thanks.

2010 Limited here.. I'll check when I fill up today, but I don't recall any "flapper" on mine... I'll post back later.

EDIT:

Here's a picture.. I'm not seeing any "flapper" thingy.

Can you provide a better description or possibly a picture of the mounting location where it may have attached?

Not sure how they attech, just know that my other 4 cars have it and i thought this one has it as well. Only have 4000 miles on this one- like 10 fill-ups or so, so maybe i never noticed, but i also thought i heard something go downthe fuel pipe but maybe i just heard something else.
