Gen's empty wallet build/picture thread

Its been a while so figured post the most recent pic, just bought a one man canoe so im pretty stoked on that.

In other news the back of the truck has been crooked since the 8 wraps, so i finally ordered a panhard drop bracket from toytec, assuming that will straighten things out.

Also bought a pair of 9 wraps from FlipStyle54 to replace my 8 wraps, cant wait for that!
So the 8 wraps will be up for sale once the new ones come in

Mom just got a 2012 4runner, my sister will start driving the 4th gen. Now we have three generations of 4runners in the family, we'll see how long it takes before she lets me start messing with it

I love my 9 wraps...

I got so much take you'd think I was a gardener! Been following your build since day one. Def digging that one of a kind front bumper you built.

Keep up the progress & the pics!

If you haven't welded that on yet, I would HIGHLY suggest checking out the beautiful pieces eimkeith designed and had produced. They are extremely well designed and manufactured, and- therefore- fit just awesome. They also take care of both ends of the panhard. Dropping only the frame side will lower your roll-center, and may cause the rig to feel more tippy around corners. Lifting the axle side raises the roll-center, making the vehicle more stable. It's also adjustable between 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4" lift heights.
If you haven't seen them, here is his post-

They seriously transform the way your rig handles.
Oh, nice 4Runner BTW [emoji41][emoji1360] My wife and I got married in Maui.

Im all about that rake, many of my peers (family) have their doubts but they will love it once they see it, so excited for the 9 wraps
Appreciate the compliments man!

I just found those the week after i ordered the toytec panhard drop!! So bummed on the timing, but maybe I will be able to order just the axle end, as i am very impressed by the design. I will definitely look into that!

Appreciate it! Killer, right next door to the best island haha

On the otherside of the island today with a bunch of family. My dad trailered his 55 chevy over here couple weeks ago and needed to take the car out of the trailer but it was blocked in and we forgot his f350.
The chevy inside is about 4000 lbs and the trailer itself is about 4000 lbs and the only option was to use the 4runner to drag the tongue of the trailer about 20 ft in order to get the chevy out. While some had their doubts the 4runner dragged it no prob. Granted i have 4x4 and i wasnt actually towing the trailer any substantial distance I did prove a couple of the skeptics (sibilings/cousins) wrong[emoji16]

what do you think of those cooper sst? I had a set and Didnt like them at all.

I love them, compared to my brothers nitto trail grapplers much quieter, and the have great on road manners for how aggressive they are. Also beat the crap out of them, drive over stupid sharp lava, they always come out looking fine while my friends tires will get chewed up
Why did you not like yours?

it seems like when you drive alot they start to become unbalanced and I was getting a pull to the right.

That is a bummer, I have not experienced that luckily, although in the past i have had that happened due to locked up brake calipers and misalignment

A few days ago while idling in traffic I noticed my temp rising and it would cool down once I started moving. Got home and found a pretty decent coolant leak on the front lower driver side of the block in the vacinity of the oil filter. Tore everything in front of the engine out and followed the leak to where the thermostat housing in the waterpump meets the block. So I took a few deep breathes and spent my day yesterday doing the timing belt and waterpump, also replaced all the drivebelts and thermostat. I was able to do it without the specialty tools (granted it sucked). It was not a fun job but everything seems to be sealed now and hopefully it wont be a while till i have to do that again

Finally found time to install the LC 9 wraps (color code: blue pink white/grey orange white) and Toytec panhard drop bracket that have been sitting for a few months. With the 8 wraps and
no pandhard drop my rearend was pretty crooked, but with the 9 wraps and panhard drop not only is my butt straight but it also seems to handle better.
I would have loved to try out the panhard correction kit made by @eimkeith but of course I only saw them after I ordered the toytec bracket.

Very happy with the rear lift now, got a good amount of rake that is much more noticeable if you are looking from behind.
Probably gained about a 1/2"-1" or so of lift over the 8 wraps. Got more rakes then a landscaper who cant afford a leaf blower
oh also threw my 1.25" wheel spacers back on cause can

Sweet rig! That front bumper is so cool! I'm glad I live in the continental US, must take forever to get parts to ship compared to Colorado

Thanks man greatly appreciated!

Yup haha, a lot of reasons why I had to improvise on some of my parts like the bumper, the little price of living out here

after chilling in the garage at work today, I noticed our race truck has a super similar bumper on it but with light bars. I should ask who made it for us
