Getting tired of talking to vendor shops

I find it so strange that everyone gives a different answer to questions . Today I called a place for 1.5" rear springs since I think the coils coming with my Ult.kit in the back will be to high. Last week this place told me they would be fine and now he says they won't and I have been getting different answers even between people in the same establishment . I've also checked about getting the 895E OME rear springs and no luck with that either . All part numbers are changed and it seems ARB does not know which end is up with these. Frustrating !!!!!

Didn't know it was this hard to mod a suspension without going to max height.

Any thoughts or help of doing / getting a 1.5" rear lift would help .

I have the SAW rear springs which gave a 1 1/2" lift . Had them on for almost a year now and love them. A little bit firmer then stock but not at all harsh.

Thats exactly who I talked to today. This is exactly what Im talking about . They said they are not available for new style 4R's ...... WTF ??

Are these and the 4th gen rear springs interchangeable ? When they asked me my year of truck they said no.

They probably just don't know for sure so they play it safe and say no. I find alot of vendors do that.
All 4th Gen ,FJ Cruiser and 5th Gen rear springs are interchangeable. I have a set of FJ rear springs that I picked up last year cheap too and they give about a 1/2" rear lift.

Thats what I had on my 4th gen. they gave a 1/2" lift on that too.

What was you reason for using the SAW rear 1.5's ?? The ones I'm getting with the kit are the Toytec Superflex 2.0" . ALTHOUGH I was told that they actually give more like 2.5" of lift . Thats why I want the SAW 1.5's , but who fricken knows . I don't know if I should just try the Superflex 1st and see what I get. I am wanting to settle for a lower lift to keep my center of gravity lower and keeping stock size tires . Since I want new rims too, I don't want to spend an add'l $1k on tires ( 285/70/17's ) . My goal is a little lift and a little level but a better suspension on/off road .

I could just powder coat and paint my factory rims a satin black /satin clearcoat but since I'm going with a lift the wider wheels would provide better stability I'm thinking . I will not use wheel spacers ....ever .

If by "ult kit" you mean toytec ultimate lift which gives 2in lift in the rear, why not just cut a coil or 2 off using a cut off wheel or plasma cutter... Then you can pretty much decrease the lift as much as you want.

Never thought of that , good option idea . I will have to look for a profile shot of your truck to see what I think . If the back gives 2" as advertised I'll prob be ok with it. I was told different by Toytec. Are you happy with ride and handling of the Ultimate lift . They are great but one person over there always seems to give me different specs that I know are not right , but in general dealings with Ben , the guy is great , knows his stuff and has been a patient great help to me .

I originally bought them because I had garage height worries and didn't want to be as limited on my roof rack,roof lights and tire height. She has to be able to fit in the garage. Turns out the Icons up front ride real nice set at 2.5" too. The more you crank up an adjustable CO to get more lift ,the firmer the ride will be. Like when I added a winch and winch plate up in front of the wheels and they added over 100lbs so I had to crank in about a round and a half on the Icon's as I lost 1/4" height. Now I can tell the front's a little firmer then before but still feals good.

I don't think you can cut springs down, at least ones made for Toyota's as the ends have specific bends in them to fit. The rear ones on my Beemer had a wedge between coils that you crank down to fine tune rear height and spring rate.
