Had a somewhat productive week of messing around in the shop...(depending on your point of view)

Sketching out some stuff using the leftovers from the tubing barrel.
Wanting some better front end thunk-abilty without the huge weight penalty.
A 20-something" light bar should fit well in main hoop.
*work below is experimental. checking fitment, style, use, etc. Input is always welcome!*

We joked about the stencil since it's made with about 9 different tubes and is marginally attached - and people always try to reef on a new bumper for some reason

Checking to see if an ALICE pack will make a decent Trasharoo substitute.
Fits well, just need to figure out my preferred swing-out system.

Also threw in some NGK wires so I could say I actually did some real work on it.

Recent mods are a UV-5A dual band radio and antenna, rear jerry can mount, and slooowly putting the rear shelf/bed together.

Nice runner. I noticed your post in the 3rd gen picture gallery and thought I'd mention:

Be careful with that bar you installed on the front. When I was wheeling this past weekend, a 2nd gen tacoma with a very similar bar scraped it on the ground and it bent back, damaging his stock bumper. Had it not been there, he wouldn't have sustained any damage. I'm sure you're aware of this and how much force the truck has behind it.

I know the weight penalty of bumpers suck, but there's no way around it if you want some bashability. Aluminum is an option but they will cost more than our trucks.

[MENTION=77310]BrandonF[/MENTION] you raise a very valid point and I know any substantial hit is going to mush the bar. It's done well for some low speed rock/tree deflection, but I am certainly wanting more protection...especially now that snow season has arrived!

Yes this is very true, its why Brush Guards are called "Mulipliers". Because they multiply the cost of body damage.
