Glock=Toyota of handguns?

I just bought a MP 9mm. I really like it and my buddy with a Glock likes it better than the Glock. I've shot better guns like Sig and Kimber, but they were twice the price.

Is a Glock a reliable weapon yes, but I own a Beretta 92FS. I mean if it was good enough for the US government it's good enough for me. The reality is they are now switching to Glock because in bulk Glock cut them a deal and it was cheaper than Beretta.

I hate to argue, because on an opinion based topic it is pointless...BUT..

Dodge was good enough for the US Govt, and GM, and AMG but you drive a Toyota. The Switch From Beretta (NSN 1005-01-118-2640) to Glock (NSN 1005-01-571-9875) in 2002 was not because Glock Struck a deal with them and I have no idea where you would have heard that. After the Glock 21 was adopted by the FBI in 1992 it started to spread across other government agencies. In 1997 it was introduced into the Military in testing phases and after the Beretta contract expired in 1998 the Glock was slowly phased in to service to replace the Beretta. The Glock had a faster breakdown time, lighter weight, faster action, and proved to be more rugged in more environments without the risk of rust and decay.

The Beretta was a good gun for its time, not great, pretty heavy for soldiers with way too much gear already, and subject to decay.

I love my Guns, and I do have two Legal Military issue Glocks (serial number ending in US)

Everyone has to pick the gun they like, I have shot tens of thousands of rounds through many of the guns in my collection, and I have my own favorites. But at the end of the day it is what works for you, my only argument here is your claim that Glock outbid Beretta, and it was good enough..

In my mind (opinion only) it goes Glock, Colt, Ruger (revolvers), Springfield, Beretta, SIG (sorta) and last on my list would be any of the that S&W makes.

This pertains to likening a pistol to a Toyota how? Perhaps you posted an article about a lunatic hopped up on psychotropic drugs that killed his mom, then went on to commit about 50 other crimes including multiple murders by mistake. I'd guess not though.
