Good deal for TRD Supercharger? - Bought it!

Got a line on a TRD Supercharger for 1500 shipped. Comes with everything in the pics. Came off a wrecked 4R with 40k and was on a tacoma for 30k. Has the static tensioner. Seller says it doesnt leak any oil and works perfectly. Its a little muddy - not rusty.

I think id need the iac check valve and some vacuum hose related stuff.

What do you guys think? Good deal? Am I missing anything?

Not bad but not great either. I would just count on a rebuild of it to be safe and price it that way.

Yeah it looks to have most of what you would need. It looks like it has the long bolt that's next to the TRD logo. The throttle bracket looks to have two cable holders. The only thing besides the check valve and vacuum lines would be the manifold spacer but you should be able to just use some washers for that. Ther price isn't great, especially because it has the old tensioner but it seems to be cheaper than the ones going on ebay. Plus it comes with a throttle body that you could sell for a few bucks.

I agree with Zac. It's not a great deal (neither was mine, $1000 for a 1st gen), but it isn't horrible at all. As long as it has the long bolt that attached the SC to the manifold then you are good to go. Also make sure it has three bolts for the tensioner plate. Just get the IAC valve, another belt, hoses, some new oil (GM supercharger oil is $9 on Amazon) and some colder spark plugs and you'll be ready for boost.

Also, I HIGHLY recommend buying the dynamic tensioner because a static tensioner is going to be a pain in the ass to constantly be adjusting the alternator tensioner. Just my .02.

Thanks for all the input guys! I'll post again when it arrives and I can detail what all I've got for sure. The seller swears its complete and has everything to bolt on and go.

Here's what I'm planning on for now:
-compression check (not concerned but just for peace of mind)
-SC oil change
-ordering new belt, IAC check valve, spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, TB gasket, and hoses
-fabbing dipstick relocation bracket
-washers for manifold spacer - going to try and find the dimensions of that and possibly come up with something cleaner
-possibly the 170* tstat

Other than that, I can't wait! I put one of these on my '98 Taco in '04 and sold it a year later like a moron. Can't wait to be sc'd again!
