Good Grease Gun

I've had many and my current is one by Lucas oil and now I get grease everywhere except in the zerk. So, what do you all use and how do you like it? I'd be willing to spend 100.00 for a quality tool.

Where is it leaking from? I have used Home depot specials all the way to the professional guns (not sure of the brand but they are $100+ )the guys use at work and never had any leak.

Seems like they all leak eventually. My next one will be cordless. I am waiting on Bosch so I can stay with my current batts, but if they don't get their crap together I will get another brand...

Do you buy a new house when you get a drippy faucet? Tighten the fittings. If it still leaks, get new fittings.

You need to keep the fitting straight and keep pressure on it, as in pressing it on to the fitting.

A lot of it has to do with the grease. Mobil 1 pink stuff separates after time and will find a way to ooze out of pretty much any gun.

That said, if you want a quality Made in USA product that will last for generations, check out Alemite Heavy Duty series.

This, what we use at work for greasing fin fans and motors. Our operators cannot destroy them.

I have one general recommendation and that is to purchase a grease gun with a pistol grip. Makes it a whole lot easier when greasing those hard to reach zerks like on the driveshaft and when a third hand would be useful. And makes it much easier to keep pressure on the fitting and avoid those grease blobs.

I did a bit of research before buying a grease gun and after searching on garage forums etc I ordered the MacNaught grease gun. Made in Australia and reasonably priced for a quality grease gun at $50. It's been working great.

If you can swing the price for an Alemite Heavy Duty then go for it, however it's around $130 and not pistol grip. Alemite has a good name and they used to all be made in the USA but they started making their lower models in China. Only these Alemite models are made in the USA:
