GREAT Movies you just watched in last 7 days

Ok so I haven't seen the movie Serenity yet but after reading all the reviews trashing it for having insane confusing twisty plot and daring to portray Anne Hathaway as a sultry half naked victim/villainess I'm kind of rooting for it. Definitely sounds worth a Redbox rental for sure.

:hippie:

Look so good!!! I like this kind of confusing movie that you need to look on google to understand the end or the logic of the movie. I’m gonna watch it for sure!!

The dawn wall. Excellent movie. I liked it better than free solo, which is another awesome movie.

Kissed by God. Really good. Even if you're not into surfing at all.

The dawn wall. Excellent movie. I liked it better than free solo, which is another awesome movie.

I really enjoyed the Dawn Wall too. And that's coming from a boulderer! Want to see Free Solo.

Have you seen The Last Man to Walk on The Moon?

Gene Cernas life story. It's a documentary that came out just a few years ago. Really really good. I can't recommend it high enough.

Just watched it. Time well spent for sure. Hours of programming of Super Bowl coverage going on when many people can be viewing programs like this to learn about the real pioneers in this countries history.

Recently watched Aquaman and Polar...Aquaman is quite a nice movie..it is more than i expected from the DC universe..one of the best movies they will make..Polar on the other hand is quite a let down...it does not have a defined story line.

Alita: Battle angel

It's good! We're going to see this movie again this weekend.

I think this thread is seriously watering down the word GREAT.

The intellectuals like to see, for example, a French-Indonesian co-production financed with public funds about a millennial hipster during his spiritual trip in India riding a fixed-gear bike around Jammu and Kashmir to re-discover the ancestral way the local people prepare green tea in clay pots.

I prefer to go to see Alita and I'm going to see it again this weekend.

No Country for Old Men. Tommy Lee Jones. Instructive on the southern border.

I want to make this "GREAT Movies you just watched in last 7 days" thread great again, so I went to see Alita Battle Angel. Again.

A little background:
It's an adaptation from a 9 volumens manga from 1990. A Japanese cyberpunk series created by Yukito Kishiro. The movie was produced James Cameron and directed by Robert Rodriguez. Pretty good adaptation in my opinion.

Fun fact:
today 3/3/2019, the critic score's 60% on Rotten Tomatoes, just 1% away from being labeled "Rotten", but it currently holds an audience score of 94%.

Fun fact 2:
The production budget was $170 million, the worldwide gross's $289,172,122 at the moment (no counting this weekend).

Some snob critics with delusions of grandeur would not like a movie like Alita Battle Angel, because they can't take a pic of this movie ticket and upload it in instagram as they use to do with the ultra modern/stylish/artistic movies they see, imagine what their circle of social snobs're going to think about them.

Anyway, time to make this "GREAT Movies you just watched in last 7 days" thread great again, here's my little contribution. Again:

Alita: Battle angel

Have a good weekend, everyone!

I do want to see Alita but it just may be on my OLED several months from now and not in the theater.
