Hi All,

Greetings from Lost Angeles! Cool forum, I'm looking forward to learning from you all and hopefully at some point learning/knowing enough to be able to contribute a thing or two. I look forward to being a part of what seems like a great community.

I've mostly owned mid to late 70's Suburbans over the past 20 years but I'm slowly succeeding at convincing my wife not to leave me when I get a new 4R so I can get back out to the quiet places in between the cities.

Thanks RedSled. I noticed you're from San Diego, I grew up in Point Loma. I visit my folks there every coupla months. Are there any good trails you like/would recommend south of Pendleton?

I don't trail much any more, But i am an old desert rat so i cruise out to Glamis every now an then. Here is a pic. i took awhile back maybe it will keep you from being homesick.

I just paid 4.10/gal for premium, it's gotten as low as 3.80, at the worst it was 4.95/gal. Not exactly friendly to the 4R mileage #s but I live close to my work so its ok... How about you guys? I went to Moab once, bought a stupid t-shirt and everything and I'm jonesing to get back. Maybe that'll be my maiden voyage for the 4runner!

Thanks! Great shot, that's bayside high up on the nice side of the hill right? We go to Kellogg's with my daughter every time we're down there I used to live down the street from the Fleet residence up on the other side of the hill. Man, I haven't been to Glamis since they outlawed the sale of 3 wheelers! Ahhh the memories... :tea:
