Grip Handle for Driver

Anyone done this mod? I found and bumped an old thread from 2005. Has anyone done this recently? Some ppl speculate it is unsafe because of proximity to head but really... The passenger has one, what's the big deal?

I personally wouldn't want one because I find the one on the A-pillar and the steering wheel plenty gripping surface but if you want it, I don't really see that much of an issue. It would be a pretty easy mod tho because i'm pretty sure the holes are already there so it would just be a matter of getting one and bolting it up. Good luck.

I moved the rear passenger one to the drivers spot since there's ALWAYS a driver and rarely a passenger in that spot. I mostly use it when climbing in and out of the car in precarious situations like sitting in a foot of mud for instance...

I installed one where there is an empty handle above the drivers head. I wanted it to be rubber over cloth in case my head ever collided with it during an accident.

It wasn't until after installing that I realized grabbing a handle in that location is a little awkward and far from comfortable.
