Halogen vs LED bulbs

So you don't want to get HIDs because the ballasts always break, which makes them unreliable.

So instead, you want to get LED lights, that also have ballasts, and in addition have small cooling fans, that will also probley always break. Plus, reasonably priced LED Headlights are mostly made in China, which adds another factor of unreliability.

.........LED bulbs dont have ballasts and/or fans

we have established this guy is a clown of the highest degree, but thanks

Thanks for keeping us up to date on what has already been established.

im a clown for inquiring about lights......the only clowns on this thread are the ones posting stupid comments like this and thinking LED bulbs have ballast and fans.....and philsey

People are calling you a clown because you put HID's in a non projector housing.

you both have autism or at least A.D.D because i said so, there's an 8mm screw that easily adjust the headlights and now its perfect.

You are really a clown!
th

I neither have autism or A.D.D.
The reason people post what we post to clowns like you is because of the assinine statement and questions you ask without first :rtfm: to obtain not only the info you desire at the time, but also very valuable information you need to know while owning your T4r.

Obviously, you didn't' read the last line of my post where I stated....

"But in all seriousness, you can aim your headlights down just a little more and still see well, also will with your dilemma."

All i was looking for was people's input, i did get some constructive info but i also got a bunch of A HOLES with nothing better to do then to put people down online because they are cowards and would never dare to in person....What ever happened to "If you dont have anything nice to say, you shouldnt say anything at all" im assuming there mothers didnt like them very much and didnt bother teaching them that

for everyone that helped, thank you. For the a holes, saouck baoulls you caouck saouckers

Whats wrong with that??

A headlight is a complex optical system (has a light source, a lens, a mirror which are fabricated according to sophisticated mathematical models), you can't tinker with it in your garage and expect it to work properly.

Please read Daniel Stern's explanation:

Unless you also upgraded your reflectors/projectors to a HID compatible one, then it doesn't matter how you aim your lights.

If you would like to know why, then read this Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply

For anyone else on the fence about putting HIDs in a reflector/projector designed for halogen bulbs, please don't. You're actually losing light output, while simultaneously blinding everyone around you.

Ok boys and girls - write this one down, because your ol' pal Hellamatic is about to make an earth-shattering prediction:

I bet within 5 years, Rigid will be releasing OEM replacement headlight assemblies, much like Recon/Spyder/et al. They've already released the DOT-approved series of light bars - I think it's only a matter of time before they cram a DOT-approved fixture into a direct-fit headlight assembly. It just makes sense and fits in well with their business model of producing cool, innovative, and quality products.

You heard it here first......

Not trying to burst your bubble, but they already make 5"x7" and 7" round replacement LED headlights which include lens heaters............ :wink2:

Nothing for our trucks yet........:dammit:
