They don't math well it seems...

They math perfectly well. 3 tons = 6000 lbs, divided by two stands (they are rated for the pair) = 3000 lbs each.

Fun update for this recall. Some of the replacement jack stands have been recalled for a welding defect. Link to story.

I stand corrected and I learned something new. I did not know this :thumb:
