Hard to find Specs, Info & Measurements on 231mm 13WL Tundra Calipers & Rotors

I know these wheels will not work with the 231mm but is it really safe to grind the inside of the wheels? And how do I grind the wheels? Running on a budget and my steering wheels is vibrating like crazy now since six months ago. I need to change the rotors and brake pad so I would rather upgrade to the 231mm. I might just go with the 199mm if the 231mm does not work out for me but is the 199mm really worth it? Or should I just keep the stock calipers and just change the rotors and brake pads.
Plus I will be going on a roadtrip at the Sierras and need reliable brakes. Thanks for any help! I will need it =D

FYI, I just wanted to let everyone know about this:
I recently ordered the rotors, pads, and shim kit for my 231mm brake upgrade from ToyotaPartsZone.com because they had the best prices and shipping. I made sure to order the pads without the chamfered edges (#04465-35290) to get the best braking performance.
Well, just AFTER it shipped out, I received a message saying that they replaced the pads with another part number. It was the #04465-AZ001-TM, which is not what I wanted. Here is what they looked like after I received them today:
As you can see, they are no longer chamfered, but now have a large section of the pads removed completely. I will be returning these and ordering the full pads from ToyotaOfDallas.com. I already confirmed with them that they have the correct part numbers in stock.
So, I just wanted to let everyone know that if you order from ToyotaPartsZone.com, don’t be surprised if they replace part numbers and don’t let you know until after your order ships.

Will these rims fit over the 231mm rotors?
I've been looking around for some time for a "reasonable " priced set of alloy rims that will fit over the 231mm rotors. I can't find any rims locally, even unaffordable! I even went down across the line (USA) to Wash. and was able to find unaffordable ones... I was able to find some online but shipping kills! At that time, I liked the 4runner 5- spoke and "flower" rims off the LTD's. However, this search has been unsuccessful. Therefore, I looked for 16" rims off of Tundras and Sequoias. It stands to reason that all the rims off of these trucks will fit as this is where the 231's came from! However I didn't have much success here either, as there isn't that many of them around! So now I come to Tacoma's. These trucks are far more plentiful and have quite a few different rim combinations, however, these trucks have basically the same brake setup as a 4Runner...
So, does anyone know if this rim will fit? As above, its off a late model Taco...

If I am assume right... The 2006 stock Tundra wheels should work with the 231mm. And the Tundra wheels will fit the tires I have on now p265/70r/16 and the Tundra wheels will fit my 4runner right?

Did the 231 upgrade today, gotta say its pretty straight forward and took no longer than 1 hour. Did my test drive and noticed that I still have the vibration I had before. I am going to adjust my rear brakes by way of lifting the rear up. Is there anything else you may advise?

Has anyone confirmed fit with these rims? I can find these around me, but can't find confirmation of 231 fitment.

Was just thinking about this the other day, but with after market rims coulfnt you just check out the discount tire website and plug in the specs for the tundra the calipers come on from the factory? Don't they have a system so that people only buy rims that will fit they're vehicle?

Im also wondering this also. I have these wheels with 1.25" spacers. Looking at the pics from where you have to grind am I safe to say I will clear the larger calipers with this wheel and spacers?

With the wheel spacers you should be good. The caliper hits on the wheel because it sticks out too far outboard.
And I would strongly urge you not to grind on the wheels, either get a set of spacers or some new wheels. I think the guy that did grind is only using that wheel for his spare.

Thanks because I have the ones you need to grind on 1.25" spacers and one caliper decided to stop working so it pulls hard when braking. I hope they fit because Im also on a budget and cant afford to look for new rims.

Tell me how the 1.25 wheel spacers go! =D I found someone selling new 2006 stock tundra wheels for $250. I might just buy the wheels but do not know if my 4runner tires will fit on the new wheels

the tundra wheels are 17 in 
and my 4runner tires are 265/70/16

$250 for stock Tundra wheels--- That's a fantastic deal! The cheapest deal I've found is $100 a rim, for older ones... plus shipping! I was thinking of trying spacers, however, I have no experience with them and have heard that using them can affect handling... can anyone comment? Plus, I'm not crazy about having to trim the wheel studs...

A lot of people say they affect handling but I know many people that have ran them on many different cars and trucks with no issues. I noticed no difference in handling. But again I did change the entire rack, front springs, shocks, ball joints, tie rod ends and added the spacers all at the same time so it felt a lot better than before.

Thanks BigFish - Did mine in about 2 hours following your instructions. $325 All parts from Autozone. Only thing that sucks is my LC 80 rims doesnt fit. Going to add All Pro hub centric spacers. Tip - Use grinding wheel to cut dust sheild quick and straight and spray with rustolium.

Did this job yesterday. I now have the 231mm 13WL's and hot damn are the results different. My old 4runner calipers had nowhere near the stopping power of these Tundra brakes. I can lock up my brakes now, whereas before, I could have my foot to the floor and my brakes would shudder. Factory 3rd gen 4Runner brakes are plain scary. I feel so much more comfortable/safer driving my truck now, knowing I am ready for quick-braking situations on the road.
