Hard to find Specs, Info & Measurements on 231mm 13WL Tundra Calipers & Rotors

I looked at the instruction from Toyota for my pads for the anti-rattle clips and it instructs to put two on, so I did. When I had just one on the opposite side of the pad was still wanting to move around so it made sense. They are dirt cheap so I had nothing to lose.

Also, my slight vibration is gone. I had the tire off and on one side I found a pad imprint on my rotor... I must have stopped too much while bedding the brakes. But it's gone now, eventually the friction took off the residue.

I also have a slight vibration when I brake. I stopped a lot too while bedding due to some traffic. I will put on the 2 clips and see if it goes away too. I noticed that with just 1 clip, the part of the brake pads where there is none is closer to the rotor.

I would only use the one. Not certain a second one would even work without getting caught on the rotor.

I did some bending on my clips for some clearance to the rotors and wheels.

TBU paid for its self tonight. Missed a large buck by inches on my way home from my parents house in the sticks. OEM brakes, and I'd be putting a front end on this weekend.

If you have a pad in imprint too then just be patient, it'll eventually wear off.

I bought the entire setup through Rockauto. Got their "Truck and towing package". Came with red powder coated calipers, slotted and drilled rotors, and large carbon/ceramic pads. Everything was better than expected. Bolted right up (had to trim dust shields), bled and bedded the brakes. Now this thing STOPS like it has truck brakes on it. I'm very pleased. Rockauto was a great deal. I just need to return my calipers and get my core charge back. I think my total cost was around $315.

Best upgrade besides a new suspension and tires.

Can you provide part numbers from them or confirm if this is the right set?

Seems to be. 13WL is the 231mm brakes.

Calipers are remanned OEMs.
I ordered them from Autozone. Lifetime warranty. And I don't have to ship my cores back. I believe I paid $150-160 plus $80 in core (40 each).
I paid tax, but didn't have to pay for shipping back minus the hassle. And I got my core refund the next day.
Autozone has a lifetime warranty on their.
I've now installed two sets; one on my 97 and the other on my 00. No problems and they work fantastic.
Just go with OEM pads and rotors. The price difference isn't really worth it to go with anything else.

Ok I have got through a lot of pages but wheel models come and go. The wheel guide says that the Classic II will fit but I can't find info on Classic III.

Check to see if they'll fit an 05 tundra. That would answer your question.

Guys!!!! Help!!!

Rebuilding a set of tundra 13wl calipers. One piston is STUCK!

I can not get the thing out. I have 3 others out but I am not able to get the 4th one free.

I've used my map gas torch to heat up the casting then stuck a ice cube in the piston to cool it (while the casting is hot) but it won't budge. I'm out of ideas besides assembling it and putting it on my truck and pumping the brakes to get it to let go.

Same thing happened to me! I soaked it well, put a wooden block into the free side, clamped the opposite piston and hit it with compressed air. I worked it for some time and when it let go, it really popped. You might want to to consider finding another one if you can-- when I had a look at the caliper and piston, I ended up having to polish the cylinder and piston for a while to get the corrosion off.

I might have missed it somewhere but will 231mm work with these rims? Also, does anyone know what these rims came off of? They were already on this 4runner when I bought it a few months ago.

I ran across a wrecked '06 2wd tundra today, will those calipers work? they sure look correct except i don't see the '13WL' marking.
