Hard to find Specs, Info & Measurements on 231mm 13WL Tundra Calipers & Rotors

Sorry for another "does this wheel work with the 231mm" reply but I read through the whole thread and didn't see confirmations of these wheels


Can someone confirm if they will work with the 231's. I'm not sure the name of these wheels. I believe they can on some FJ cruisers and 3rd/4th T4R's.

BFAD mentioned some 5 spoke FJ wheels that fit with spacers on page 1 but I wasn't sure if those were these. I went to the reference link he provided and it was just mentioned there with no picture confirmation so I couldn't tell if they were indeed my wheels.


Also, I've only heard a few people mention speed bleeder valves. Are they not worth it? (I've never bled brakes before)

I'm interested as well does anyone know. I think this is the 09 trail edition 16" t4r/ fj.

...but did not see anyone answer. And apparently 2 character searches are a no-go here (SH). Has anyone used the larger diameter (339mm?) rotors with the SH casting marked calipers on a 3rd gen? Have 17 inch wheels.

I'm planning to upgrade my 1st gen Tacoma front brakes to the Tundra 13WL calipers. I've searched the local junk yards, but there aren't any Tundras at the moment so I started looking for rebuilt calipers online.

These are the ones I've found so far:

Centric Posi Quiet Loaded Caliper (either zinc or OEM colored)
Power Stop S2712 Performance Caliper (powder-coated red)
brakeperformance.com Semi Loaded Caliper (option to powder coat)

Does anyone have experience with any of these? I really like the blue powder coating on the brakeperformance.com calipers but I can't find any reviews on them (lots of reviews for their rotors, but none on the calipers).

My brother has ran the powerstop for a few years and the only problem he had was breaking a bleeder valve, but it was easy to get out.

Hey everyone, here's my situation. I have calipers from an 02 sequoia stamped (13wl). I'm getting a rebuild kit and pads, I'm getting a few different part numbers for ( what should be the same bits?), I think, from camelback part site. So I ask. Are all 13wl calipers the same or did they evolve? Are certain kits and pad combos preferred. Camelback wants vin # for correct match and I figured I'd ask here before I have a major fubar. Thanks.

The two kits are 04479-0c020 & 04479-60081
The two pad # are 04465-35290 & 04465-0c012

I'm looking for some feedback from people who did this modification awhile back and used the OEM pads mentioned in the first post...

How long (time and mileage) did your set of pads last?

I did this mod 2 weeks shy of 2 years ago. I guesstimated that I have 20-25,000 miles on them and the driver's side has reached the wear indicator. I need to check the passenger side to see how worn they are and will report back after I do.

My question is, how many miles of normal driving with only occasional light towing should I expect to get with the OEM pads? I feel like it should be more than 25,000 miles.
