Here are a couple of pics of our fair weather ride, a 2012 Mustang GT (5.0). It’s spends the winter in the garage and has never been driven in the rain or even on a wet road. Yeah I know it’s ridiculous, I hear it all time from the wife and kids.

BUT traded it in for a Prius (No fun to drive), GTI SOOO much fun to drive... got rid of the Prius and now drive a B8 A4...

This is my weekend car, but not for long :sobbing:

We just had a baby, and priorities change. I can't justify spending money on a "me" car, when that money can be used for so many family things.

So now I'm buying my wife a new A8 with massaging seats so we can relax while we cruise around with the baby crying in the backseat. It's not as thrilling, but pretty pimp! :banana:

I don't understand what's hilarious about it? Does it sound ridiculous? My wife and I rarely cruise around in the car together anymore, and frankly it's a lot of money that can be spent on house stuff, or saved for educational expenses, or spent on US stuff rather than ME stuff.

Not hilarious at all. You'll appreciate the comfy car soon, because sometimes they will only sleep while in the car seat and the engine is humming along. I think it's a great decision - the A8 is a beauty.

The part that sounded ridiculous was the way you worded it. It would have been less funny if you had just owned it, and said "the 2 seater doesn't make sense so I'm getting an awesome sedan for the wife that we can actually use."

It came off funny when you tried to make it a money saving thing, people who actually need to save money don't buy $100k A8's, or own R8 V10 Spyders in the first place unless they are living beyond their means, and I doubt you are...

...and another one just realized that there is more (and more important) things in life than "stuff." Little things like this is what shapes you as you get older. As time passes you hopefully will get to a point that you will see that the best and most satisfying things in life are free. I have been at that point for 20 years now. My daughter is 20 and my son is 17.
