Help broke LBJ bolt with torque wrench.

Bought new 8 bolts since I agree I don't think the others are in torque spec. Don't want to mess around since this is an important part and don't want a failure.

Also bought a new torque wrench so will keep everyone posted once I undo the ball joint and try to get the stud out.

Finally got a chance to work on my rig and remove the sheared bolt.

I used vice grips but also had to disconnect the axle since it was in the way.

If it had such little resistance that it could be turned with a screwdriver I highly doubt it would've stripped out in the first place
When you say stripped, do you mean you snapped the head or merely rounded it off? If the latter I don't see why you couldn't weld a nut to it

I'm not saying this is a replacement for Proper calibration by a certified shop, but for home mechanics it's good enough. Easy check you can do once a year, heck or anytime you're about to torque something if you don't wrench a lot.
