Help finding tow ball?

I have a 2020 4runner and it came with the ball hitch mount, part #PT22889445

When I went to uhaul (I have a reservation in a few weeks) they were very helpful BUT said they didn't have any balls that fit, as the diameter of the ball stem was too narrow and rattled around easily?

I went to Canadian Tire and I found one with a 1 1/4" diameter shaft, which SEEMS to be the right fit?... but then nothing was 1 1/4" diameter shaft with a 2" ball... Everything was 2 1/4" or larger.

This is all new to me, but despite a shelf full of hitch balls, I didn't realize there were so many variables, and it SEEMING like nothing matching what I would need? Yet the 4runner is obviously popular enough, why am I having trouble apparently getting the hitch ball I need?

Try camping world if you have it near you or Walmart or Amazon prime now might have it they can deliver it in a couple of hours or Amazon overnight

If your ball hitch mount is Toyota OEM, there is a Toyota OEM ball made for that:

Look for a vendor the installs hitches. There is a bushing to adapt the 1 inch to 1.25 inch.

Don't know what shops you guys have in Canada, but here every auto parts store has a section with hitches and balls. Home Depot and Lowe's too. Heck, even Wal Mart.

Assuming by your post, you have a ball mount with an 1*1/4 hole.
You should really use a 2" ball with an 1-1/4 shank.
It all boils down to safety and insurance.

Class II 2" ball with 3/4" shank rated up to 3500 lbs
Class III 2" ball with 1" shank rated up to 7500 lbs
Class IV 2" ball with 1-1/4" shank rated up to 10,000 lbs

Your receiver hitch and your ball mount must also match the maximum rating for the ball used which in turn is chosen for the load you will pull.
Should be stamped or labelled on the individual pieces.

In your case dor what little price difference there is, I would definitely go with a 1-1/4 shank 2" ball.

You should be able to find them easily, call around they are common.
