Help getting spare tire off

I have a 92 T4R and while i am doing other maintenance stuff i thought i would check out the condition of the spare. Seems the linkage is pretty rusty. How do i go about getting the tire off...can i just keep spraying it with PB Blaster and hope it gets loose enough or can it be unbolted and such? Any help would be appreciated.

Nope. Gotta cut it off and replace the linkage.
I'm in the same boat.
In the meantime, I got a plug kit and have used it twice in 3 months.

If you don't want to store the spare up there anymore just cut it.
Otherwise, if you work at it you can get it loose. Spray with penetrating oil and work the hand crank back and forth.

no i want to keep it in the same spot...so it is just keep oiling it and keep working it to lossen the linkage then....i thought you could get the parts and replace......what is the best penetrating oil to use?

ATF and acetone mixture 50/50 is the best.
However, getting a hold on acetone may be a rough task in some places.
