Help me get to the bottom of my misfire

If all else fails, do a compression test on all cylinders, followed by a leak down test (to insure there is no valve damage).

It can happen fairly quickly depending on how hot it gets inside that cylinder. Is it more likely it's the injector? Yes, but depending on how long you let it ride, things snowball and that's a big gamble with something so expensive. My dad used to say "buy quality and you only cry once." Same thing applies here, listen to the good advice of these guys that know what they're talking about and do this correctly the first time instead of throwing parts at it etc. I realize you have some limitations due to weather and budget but if the shortcut was easy, it'd just be the way. End cliched proverbs.

In my honest opinion I'd say buy yourself a stethoscope listen to #6 injector to hear it pulsate or not, if it doesn't make any noise replace it, if you replace it and it still misfires.. I'd say you prolly have a damaged valve. :/

So i took the Runner to a local mechanic. He showed me that you can pull the spark plug wire while the engine is running and if you hear the RPMs lower then you know that that cylinder is firing, so i pulled #6 wire and no change in how the engine runs but you could hear the wire sparking/clicking so he told me to buy a injector. This is the injector i bought, yes i know its a ebay injector but this guy has the best warranty that i have found

My mechanic is going to compression test the engine for me and if it looks good then he will install this injector.
I plan on testing this injector with a OHM meter once it gets her to make sure its good, i also plan on sending my old injector to Witch Hunter to have him clean it as a back up. As of now i dont know what my mechanics schedule is with the upcoming holiday, i am hoping to have this thing in by next week

I just got my injector in the mail, i tested it with my OHM meter and its reading 13.8 OHM's. I am hoping to have my mechanic install this sometime next week

Good luck. Keep in mind though that your other injectors may not be far behind. Not trying to piss in your Cheerios but it's a real possibility which is why we were suggesting sending all of them to WitchHunter.
