Just pull it hard towards yourself (as if you're sitting in the seat) and it pops right off. Super easy.

Dumb question here but can you fit it in the blank slot? Also, the flat spot above your finger could be a cool place to put a small switch panel of some type.

Sorry I don't know how to reply with a partial post, but if you go to my thread "AUX SWITCH WIRING / PANEL REMOVAL" you may find some inspiration from the help members gave me. There is a picture there that I wish I had seen before enlarging one of the lower blank holes. I got OTRATTW switches. Check it out.
My truck comes back from the body shop on Tuesday, so I can finish installing my lights.
JUST PLAN BEFORE YOU CUT....AND CUT A LITTLE BIT AT A TIME!

I'm going to use the blank spot next to the dimmer was just wondering how to get the dash off for that area.
