HELP - Which engine to pull!

So I just acquired a 22re with only 2k on a rebuild. Been sitting a for after the guy decided to change his fuel system, etc, on the rig so I got it for cheap. I currently own an 87 SR5 and an 88 DLX. The 87 runs rough and needs a rebuild. It is stock. My 88 is running well but has a lift, 265/70 TW Guard Dogs, and is starting to feel underpowered.
Should I put this fresh motor into the 88? Would it actually make a difference? I would then put the 88's motor into the 87. Is it worth the hassle?

So either all that or I could just replace the one that NEEDS replacing now and rebuild the 87's motor once I pull it out and have a spare.

Thoughts?

put the motor in the truck that is not running. even a fresh rebuilt 22re lacks power and two trucks are better than one.

if you are up for it, swap the motors in your trucks and then put the newer motor in the lifted truck.

it only takes an afternoon to swap the motors, so make it a weekend job and have the best of both worlds.
