Help!

Help! My truck won't go into gear when I try this morning. Dash lights 4 Lo, tire pressure, 4wd, and a steering wheel with exclamation point show up. I physically cannot take it out of park! Please help!

Some have had problems with a fuse (have you attached a trailer recently?) but I would first look up the shift lock system in your Owners Manual.

In front of the shift lever is a little square panel (about 0.25 inch square). pop that with a screw driver or pocket knife to access the shift lock override.

The steering wheel icon with the exclamation point may simply only indicate the steering lock. Can you start the truck? if so, you should be able to turn the steering wheel and release the steering lock.

[Doublehaul]

Truck starts. Just can't get her into gear. I unlocked the shifter and drove her around the block, then went to an appointment with my other car, got back, and started her up and drove her with no issues. Any idea what is causing something like this? Electrical?

My guess would be that HE does not like being called a HER, no - not one bit.
