With this I got voice out of the drivers front door speaker, with a 04 Camry Solara (Digital) Navigation on my fathers 05 Limited...

The input is there.... Just have to wire it.

(don't know if it works on 04/03) But I have confirmed with 05/06.

I just confirmed that the 3-wire hookup for nav on the 03/04 JBL 10-speaker amp WILL NOT work. I have the new seqouia amp it worked then swapped it out with the 10-speaker JBL amp and the voice dissapears. Folks from the Sienna forum have also comfirmed it.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi Guys I have been waiting and waiting and waiting. I thought nobody read this thread. Now i see there are people here.

OK.. I have an 03 SR 5 T4R. I have followed all the directions and all worked out just fine exept the Reverse sensor. Not that i can't live without it, but it is something that is in my head and i'd like to resolve it.

In any case, My car DOES NOT have the same wires as ones in diagram. My colors are different. Does anyone know where the heck is the reverse censor wire on an SR 5 model.

Thanks

Sorry dood I don't know what your color scheme would be. maybe some one w/ an 03' can chime in. Where are you trying to tap the reverse wire from... IICR, I tapped mine on the passenger side kick panel.

Red with Yellow Stripe on the cluster plug. (It is the same at the ECM also.. I double checked)

OK HERE I GO AGAIN HEEELLLPPP

Ok I am attaching the picture again. On the left side is LIMITED on the right side is SR5

Pictures are of the same Passenger kick panel. However the wires are different color. I would like to know if I can just tap into same wire and hope that it would work. Thanks.

The picture you took of the "sr5" model, to the right of it is the computer it seems.. not what is in the centre...

Look on the first (top) plug, for a wire that is red, with a yellow stripe.

Still Confused !?

:bash:

Ok here is another picture of the same area explained a little more. I still don't see a red and yellow wire. All my wires are white or light bluish-green nothing even close. However, there are some red and yellow wires that go to the ECU itself. Maybe i can tap into one of those? From diagram it seems that I can. But, is it tha revese sensor wire?

Navigation

Pete,
I have a 2003 4runner and I am looking to install the navigation system on my limited edition (which I understand comes with the proper wiring).
I am an Architect and I am not very good with all this stuff and when reading through all the technical you inputed, I freaked out. Seems very complicated to me so maybe you can guide me as to where can I get this work done.
I don't have the system yet and do not know of a reliable place to purchase the unit and also a location to install it.

Any comments will be greatly appreciated. Thank You
JC

as far as buying it? www.oemvalue.com you can buy it new, or go on ebay and do a search, oemvalue is actually on there and has the same sytem for maybe 200 less and free shipping. you just have to look and installing it? well that depends where you live.

Installation is relatively easy if you get the right unit. However there are always some little things that are just bothersome like Green LEDs instead of orange, and in my case the Reverse censor.
I guess not too many people installed these units on an SR5 I think that Limited and Sport Ed use same wiring harness. Maybe.

My '04 sr5 had all the colors per the install in this thread. Everything was exactly per the instructions here. You just need to find someone that has done it to an '03 sr5.
