Hey Trail Owners question on Multi Terraign adjustment

Hey Guys, I'm trying to decide between the trail and limited, is it possible (if not why) to just engage the 4wd and dial up the wheel slippage and drive on dry or semi dry pavement ? You see I live in VT and am constantly driving up and down mountain roads, both paved and dirt. Some days the road will appear dry but there will be icy spots and blown spots on the road, so why couldn't I drive in 4wd and dial up the wheel slippage ?
Thanks, I realy like the trail, but I need to be able to use 4wd a lot. I am used to 70's and 80'w 4wd and have never blown anything out on dry pavement so just wondering.

You cannot use any of these extra features in 4HI, only 4LO. I would just go with the Limited, good chance you'll never brake anything in 4HI on the Trail, but the Limited's Torsen center diff would work great for the type of terrain you mentioned

To clarify, you can use MTS mud/sand setting in 4H.
I'm the type that would only use 4WD onroad if I couldn't see the road, but if it gives you piece of mind I would probably recommend the Limited as well.
