Howdy,

anyone looking to go wheeling around DFW? It's been a little while for me, but within the last two months I've gone back to some old spots I used to wheel around DFW and found two decent spots still standing.

360 out in Arlington is still somewhat accessible
as is PGBTP and 78 in Garland (right across from Firewheel)

I need some t4r's to go with and help pull me out!

I'm in Dallas but am willing to wheel anywhere within 100 or so miles!

I'm in east Dallas.

Bridgeport is a great place to get started and Gilmer is worth a weekend.

There are also a few local groups that'll help you meet more wheeling buddies:

I've seen several modified 4Runners near me - I've even tried acknowledging some of them...
 
Wanted to make a trip out to HF soon. Sometime in early November. Any tips? This will be my first off road run in almost 20 years. I'll be in a stock TRD PRo 4runner. What trails should I stick too? I was planning on just feeling out nothing more than a 2. Maybe hit up some 3's. For those that have been there, is this realistic? What would be the max trail my stock rig should ride? No sliders yet.

Hey sorry for the delay. Honestly, don't go by trail numbers anymore. They're so far off it's crazy. A lot of them are do-able with what you have but here is a list of what you should avoid (at minimum):
Bronco buster
Toyota
Wet n wild
Wildcat
And basically anything that has broken parts in the name i.e. Frame bender or whatever it is. There's also one like u joint something idr. I avoid that junk.

Good ones are rocky, loose rock (just be careful but you should get out Scott free), TRO, greenhorn (1 and 2 should be fine), royal gorge, carnage (that one is VERY fun but there's only one spot you may hang up. Just stack rocks)

Oh yeah if you go alone and haven't been please be careful to acknowledge one way trails like royal gorge and greenhorn. They're one way because you literally can't fit a hummer h1 in some spots.

I was out there 2-3 weeks ago in my stock Pro. The guy up front looked at it, and drew on the map where I shouldn't go if I wanted to make it out unscathed. I'm hoping to get back out there this weekend, but we'll see.
