high milage ?

i'm in the market for a 4runner.

i came across this 2003 Limited V8 4x4 for $16 000 of course a catch it has 102K miles.

no signs of off roading, everything works, engine runs great, no leaks, it might have been owned by a female ( saw long blonde hairs) other than scratches, worn driver side carpet, and no service record ofcourse.

kbb and nada prices this thing for $18-22K

wondering you guys thoughts on if i should buy this thing.

Carfax can be very deceiving , it really proves very little and it someone has a damaged vehicle and is flood damaged it's very easy for them to get around it.

Don't discount the vehicle is you see some signs of off roading. I have all kinds of scrapes underneath and off road excursion when ever i can. , BUT I do not do high speed off roading , jumping ect....and am very strict about maint. on my truck.

I would recommend to take it to a off site mechanic and have things checked , also take it out for a LONG ride and try EVERYTHING out . Also take it to a body shop and have them look it over underneath . Even if you have to pay them each an hour rate , its well worth it. That will give you more info than the basic carfax will.
