Hilux 167 snorkel for 3rd gens

There is no additional sound created or at least none that I've noticed.

Mine wiggled till I attached it to the ditch light and the top rack but now there isn't even movement.

Can anyone take a pic of the "L" bracket that secures to the pillar ? is it a perfect 90 degree right angle?????

I recently bought an ARB snorkel off Craigslist and it came with 0 parts except the snorkel itself....

So I will be going to the hardware store to pick up all the hardware...


Also wondering the dimensions of the "L" bracket itself

So the L bracket itself is 3.3/4" long the snorkel side is 1.1/2" x 1"

im assuming the ARB might be the same "L" bracket as the hill 167 one...


can you see if it is a perfect 90 degree right angle or is it bent in slightly?

Perfect 90 or a degree over.

Just ordered mine! So the twin coat hanger coil is probably the best method for the rubber tube?

The stock rubber tube i was using developed a crack in the elbow, noticed it when I went to take it out to reinforce today. Anyone have any tips for completely replacing it? Or am I gonna have to play toyota plumber at homedepot?

I suppose you could find some silicone tube that would fit the bill.....but it isn't going to be cheap.

It seals nicely. Unfortunately I got mine more for dust than anything else.

Can anyone see value in putting a rubber washer in between the fender and regular washer then the nylon nut?.,



so stud from the snorkel goes through the fender, then on the inside of the fender: a rubber washer, then a regular metal washer then the nylon nut?......

I used rubber washers and neoprene foam to cushion the whole assembly and reduce metal on metal contact. I might be ocd though [emoji14]

ok, good to know... i am definitely doing this to help with any potential noise and I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to have a nice seal as well

has anyone used the stock intake tube and just used the rubber elbow to join the two? im thinking this would work. will need some modification to the stock tube but i think will be a good alternative.

Yes Talltoys and myself use the stock intake tube that you find in the inner fender. With some modifications it makes a good adapter to help stop collapsing. You will find it a few pages back. good luck

Yes the 3.3/4 would work, the 4" I think will be to big.
