I have a 2006 4Runner 4wd and I tow a small tent trailer with it. I'd like to find a way to bring our bikes on our next camping trip. I know there are ones that you can mount to the top of your trailer, or to the roof, but does anyone know where to get a hitch mounted one that you can still also still tow with?
Hitch mounted bike rack + towing ability?

They make receiver inserts with two receivers, one above the other, for this exact purpose. You can mount your bike carrier in the top one, and the trailer on the lower one.

Yup. Harbor Freight. Use the lower one that's inline with the truck reciever for towing, and the upper one to mount your bike rack. The only problem with these is they add a point of failure to the set-up. A better way would be to weld a piece of outer hitch steel to the trailer tongue to mount the bike rack on, or set up one of those autozone "universal" reciever packages on the back of the trailer.
Or use a trunk-mount bike rack, or stick them on the roof of the truck, or the top of the trailer... lots of options.
