LOL, my fiance saw a cherokee with the tire mounted in the back and said it looked just like mine.

i actually sold my old 5.9L for the runner i have now...
and if build quality means nothing to you i would almost argue that the ZJ is a better off road truck then the 4runner......i said almost......lol..i'm here for a reason =-)

that tire carrier is pretty sweet. probably a lot easier to pull out then pulling it off the roof like most folks.

All the things i've seen were pretty awesome except for that duct tape wallet. It was on another level...not sure what level though. :thumb3:

i got my second rack back from the powdercoater today, the finish didnt come out as i had expected(he told me it was going to be a textured finish... well if you call like 1500 grit sand paper textured then sure...) but its still pretty sweet if you ask me. got it mounted up with the light bar(removable) and lights, along with our name plate. i get some sneak peek shot for you guys tomorrow in the light. but this weekend im planning on a day trip up to mt hood to play in the snow so ill get better shots then.

well here it is, when i took these pics this morning, i hadnt had time to wire up the lights, but i got that done today so its finished now. but here are some pics for you all...

I've been waiting to see how it turned out and you did not disappoint! That thing looks good. But I gotta say I liked the other one more. Full length just seemed more suiting

they are nice, the only thing i dont like about full length on the 3rd gens or 4runners in general is, there is no support for the front of the rack. they hang out a bit too far from the end of the rails, and well they weigh more too. this rack we cut down the wall thickness quite a bit and will do so again on the next one to make it even lighter weight. its still stupid strong and over built. this one the light bar is removable so you can have it with or without, as well as giving you more options on what lights you can run. i personally do like the expanded metal floor in the first rack we built better than the 1/4" rod we used, i think it keeps things up off the roof better(like straps, cords, rope and or other smaller lose items but we can do both

Nice job, really like the length. :thumb3:I think the only thing I would add is hoops or a bar above to protect the lights from low flying branches.
