Hello all,
I'm new to the 4 runner world. Just sold my 2006 dodge charger (wanna be charger, it had a 2.7 v6) and bought a 2000 4 runner Limited with only 84,000 miles from a family friend.
question i have is I hate the beep with alarm. Here in Cincinnati, I'd like to wire up the horn so people DO KNOW its armed and alarm is set. I'd like to rig the horns for the alarm and use the factory horn wiring to install air horns in their place. i come home late at night so the air horns connected to the alarm would just be too much and my neighbors would probably start egging my car late at night so...
I did do some research thru the forums and saw much discussion regarding turning the beeps up and down using the remote and i also saw how to disable the beep by disconnecting the denso or densco unit... i just want to use the factory horns for the alarm and air horns for the horn...
any pointers on this mod/swap-out/fix?
