How do you handle the first scratch?

2 days ago I was showing my new TE off to my neighbor and noticed that there is a c shaped scar now on the front passenger fender...it could have been keyed intentionally or somehow something brushed up against it and cut it...I dont know I didnt hit anything...

Im still not over the trauma...but luckily I know someone who owns a body shop and will seek their advice

pretty much. i watched my husband back ours up to the trailer to test the newly installed brake controller, then toss it back in drive and hit our pressure washer. i know have a john deere greenish scratch in my front bumper. I had to walk inside before i said something nasty.

looked at it again the other day and realized when he did that, he pushed that little piece of grill stuff on the bottom back....so while at work I got one of my friends to help me ease it back in place and snap it back onto the bumper.....rob is no longer allowed to play with the pressure washer in the yard or my TR4.

I don't know which is worse. You doing it yourself like I did or having someone else do it.

Hmmm timely topic. Last night on the lovely West Bound side of Long Island Expressway I was cruising along minding my own damn business in the middle lane when HELLO HERE COMES A GIANT PIECE OF I DONT KNOW WTF AND WACK! 2 nice scratches on the front corner on the passenger side of my bumper right above the fog light, with some white paint transfer on my grey, shinny just washed truck....SON OF A *****!!! After getting home later that night (around midnight, couldnt go to sleep with her wounded) a good bout of compound and wax got 95% of it out. My wife couldnt notice it and its not that bad as the anger has subsided so now its time for the next one! Ahhhhh that felt better, good post fellas. Sorry not a 5th gen but still my first scratch.
