There's always a hovering threat for a snowstorm...
242k miles and never touched, as far as I can tell.

What's amazing is your clock works.
Little over 200k on mine,AC works fine. I usually just drive with the windows down but it's been so damn humid and/or rainy lately.
Pulled over and running during those 20 minutes? Sounds like a bad cooling fan clutch, also check for debris impeding airflow to the radiator.
Clock here good too!I am amazed that on his 99 he still has the factory stereo.
If so, have you measured the temp on normal ?
Curious.
As far as the OP's question , mine works - added a little R134 a year or so ago and cleaned the condenser a month or so ago.
It's OK , but nowhere as good as the one on the '94 Land Cruiser I had.
This summer all have had to work their coils off, including the house ...

I have a feeling that I'm going to end up going to the dealer when i go back for my inspection... as long as i'm moving the engine stays cool... pullover for 20 min and it starts to overheat. I'll keep everyone updated.
I'm just glad that all these AC's are still up and running!
