I counted 17 5th gen members/owners that are 65+. Bumping this to see if there are any more. Salvo Jimmy tops the list in age. Probably health too.

Seventy and beyond
Hit age 70 a couple of months ago. Now retired and spent some time earlier this week installing a MillerCAT Shield.

....I now live in SW Montana.....I'm 77...still quite active in spite of my body not wanting to keep up....When I'm still not working on projects for NASA...I spend my time here as a Nature-Photographer....
...Winter is a relative state of mind...I was born and raised in Chicago....sooo...Montana winters are neither cold nor brutal by comparison!...
...Chicago Sucks!....Chicago winters suck even more!...At least in Montana..winters are Beautiful!...
...But don't move here unless you're willing to adapt to the lifestyle here...which is laid-back and very outdoors-oriented...
..Oh, yeah...they friggin HATE Californians here due to most of them being rich, entitled a-holes who want to change the way folks live up here...just sayin... :biggrin1:

I have seen some of the nice pics you have posted over the last 4 years of Montana. Do you get down to JPL in La Canada? Or do you do remote work?

The Bitterroot Valley is full of Californians, most of whom are conservative political exiles. None of them want to change the way Montanans live. The Montana life is what they came for.
You are confusing with the Californians who end up in Bozeman or Missoula, both of which are liberal college towns.

2019 ORP, still mostly stock, my DD and work truck as well as dog hauler (rear seats have been folded almost constantly since I purchased used in 2020, the youngest truck I've ever owned at 1yo and 36k miles). I'll eventually get it on the beach here on LI.
This truck replaced an 02 Pathfinder, which replaced a 95 Toyo PU (not Tacoma), which replaced an 85 Trooper, which replaced a 78 Cherokee. Other notable 4x4s I've owned were a couple of older Wagoneers, a 72 Commando, and a Scout 800.

...I worked there for a year back in 2006-7....and worked remotely since then...I'm a 3D-animator....worked on the Curiosity-Rover and Perseverance-Rover animations, among many other projects...Once my Dad passed away...I moved up here and work from here outta my home/office...I love the work...but honestly...I love the Nature-Photography much more!...

...You could be right....I live 10 miles outside of Bozangelos...obviously, college towns will be liberal...but Lived down in SoCal...and most Californians really do have a serious entitled attitude...I sure don't miss it...but I truly Love living here!...

I'm 69. I can't help getting older but I refuse to grow up! My 2019 4Runner will most likely out live me and that's fine, one of my granddaughters will inherit it.

Well I was born in Fullerton and still have a home there, but I am 60 and grew up when the aerospace industry was the dominant economic contributor and it’s employment base was largely conservative. IMO that influence ended with the recession of 1992 which was lead by a pullback in the aerospace industry.
Ironically, that recession resulted in (anticipated) decreases in home prices, which allowed me to buy the home in Fullerton. It was a fixer from a divorce sale during a recession, aka as the three D’s of asset buying: Divorce, Disaster and Distress. I’ve been work on that giant ranch home ever since. My (deceased) mother-in-law once told me, “Steve they say that when a man finishes his home, he dies.” To which I responded “Well, I guess I’m going to live forever.”
The current California is a one party State controlled by Progressive Liberal who like to pass legislation that controls how you live your life. Recent examples are the mandates for only EV car sales by 2035 and all new residential heating and appliances must be electric. All of this to address the theory of Anthropenic Global Warming. Remember the underlying theme here is passing such progressive legislation and making other people pay for it. Tax the rich! Well to no surprise the rich are leaving in California in droves and they are headed to red states.
Seriously, the Californians I’ve met and know in Montana do have money, but they paid for it by living in California. I don’t see them as entitled, they earned it. Most are conservative and the last thing they want to do is bring progressive liberal politics to Montana and forcing change on others. They like and want the leave me the F alone approach in Montana.
For those who are angry with me as a Californian, claiming that I was contributory to the current high home prices in Montana, I simply point out that I bought well before the run up in prices. The home was built in 1989 and the prior owner lived full time in Long Island New York. He had the home listed for two years and had been riding the price downwards. I smelled fatigue and got the home for half it’s original listing price. So the locals should be thanking the Californian for driving down real estate prices. Any local had the opportunity to do the same. Of course the home has more than doubled since our purchase, but timing is everything when purchasing homes and cash is king.

It is the Toluca Lake Bob’s. Which high school and what year? If you don’t mind me asking. I grew up in Glendale and During and after high school we went to the Bob’s in Glendale on Colorado.
They still have the Friday night car show.
...That brings back memories...it was such a fascinating place to work...so much amazing science and varied projects going on there at the same time...and such an eclectic mix of rocket-scientists, engineers, designers and lab-folks doing truly important and ground-breaking projects!...It has been the most satisfying relationship...and way to cap-off a long career...
