This is embarrassing and rewarding at the same time. How many of you are 65+ on this forum?
66 and getting my 1st soc sec check in Nov. My first Toyota I bought new with cash in November of 1985. 1986 4x4 pickup, std cab, 4 cyl. Put 300,000 miles on it before selling it for $500 in 2016. Got a picture of it on my album but haven't figured out how to show it. First time replying on this forum in the 3 years I've been on it.
I have owned an '85, '94, '96 and now 2019 T4R's. In between had an LX450. All except the 2019 were bought with 100,000 miles on them and sold after putting another 100,000 on them. I think when I sold them, I got nearly what I paid for them! JUST CHANGE THE OIL every 3-5,000 miles.
The 2019 I ordered with KDSS as it only came standard on the Pro. Figured since I'm an old fart now, I'll need the vehicle to help me cheat off-roading. I don't know how it works, but I seem to miss rocks that Runners with 4" lift are hitting. Almost feels like a self-leveling cab when side hilling. Smart guy who invented that.
I like this forum. Lots of smart folks out there to learn stuff from. Dumb ones, too. I learn a lot from the latter, also. - Cal
