How many miles are on your SEATS??? When to relpace?

Alright so I just sat in my car for the duration of a non-stop (less the gas up's) 480 mile drive round trip from Portland, OR to Northern Washington (past Everett) and back... Needless to say, my hind parts where not that happy with me.

My truck has 145,500 and I am wondering how people with similar mileage are copeing with their original seats or how long have people waited before changing theirs out.

If I was to change my front seats out, does anyone know of some styling seats that I could use to swap in.... I'm thinking some mastercraft buckets with the 4 point harness... Would they work in a 2nd gen?

I have 298,000 KM, still have original seats no covers and they ride fine.

1991, 4runner.

I just ran from Whistler BC. to Sanfran and back 2 mths ago, rode good.

Everyone's shape is different. One perfect seat for one person will be another's pain in the butt (pun intended!). Go sit is some display seats to get an idea what's good for you.

As regard to harnesses...DONT use four points (five or six) unless you have a roll bar. In a rollover, your stock belts are designed to allow you fall sideways to avoid your nut being crushed by the roof collapsing in. In harnesses your head is fixed in position. Then of course if you have a roll bar, you want to be wearing a helmet as your bare head hitting a steel bar (even with padding) in an accident will likely cause more injury.

Consider your options carefully.
