How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

walked away from deal.
had a deal with 5k off a 19 ORP plus a 1k rebate.
original showed OTD price and I agreed to it with those discounts.
When I went to pick up car the OTD price was the same. However the discount went down to $4300.
After doing some digging it looks like when they offered me the OTD price it did not include the MI state 5K trade in tax credit.
The dealer raised the price of the car once the tax credit was applied basically taking the tax credit meant for buyer.
I balked and they wouldn't not budge so we walked away.
3 other dealers in SE MI and the lowest they would go is 13% below MSRP.
So we wait.

I got the below quote for an ORP with KDSS. Should I pull the trigger? I would use the quote as the starting price for negotiations, not sure how much better I could do.

That's better than pretty good, but not great, depending on what other options it includes (floor mats, running boards, roof cross members).
If you don't care about the 2020 upgrades then definitely get a 2019. Toyota has $750 cash back right now (expires tomorrow), but I won't be surprised if it jumps to $1000 for October.

It includes moon roof, running boards, all weather mats and cargo tray, and roof rack cross bars.
An extra discount after the first of the month might tip the scales and make me do it, we will see.
I like a lot of the things offered by the 2020, I'm just not sure I'm willing to pay the extra for the things that they added.

I had an offer about $1000 less than yours about 10 months ago, but no moon roof. Considering that the moon roof is one of your options, I'd say that's a borderline great deal. Then knock off at least $750 more with the cash back offer and you'll be in good shape. I'd be very surprised if the CB offer doesn't jump to $1000 soon.

I never understood this. Isn't msrp the same anywhere in the country as long as the truck is optioned the same? Isn't it set by the manufacturer?

It's a great deal depending on options.
If its fully loaded with sunroof TRD wheels KDSS then it's an amazing deal

I live in orange county, CA. I spoke to 10 plus dealers in so cal. Nobody had them in stock and said they would sell at MSRP and not negociate on the price as these were in high demand. The few places that went below msrp didn't go much, they were at around 43,000 + TTL. I was happy with the deal I got up north and decided to take a little trip =p. Left friday morning at 710 AM on a flight to sacrament, did some work, got to the dealership at 4, left at 7, went to hotel to relax a bit, started my drive down at 9:30, was in my own bed by 4AM.
I got this at Auto Nation Hayward, CA which is 400 miles north of where I live. I was able to get my work to pay for my flight up to nor cal, a hotel to rest up, and milage back down @ $0.55 /mi. All in all it worked our perfect.
I split up my drive time in 2 hour blocks, stopping at a walmart, target, and gas stations. Drive wasn't too bad. I'm loving Android auto!

Just thought I'd share the info.
Toyota Scion of North Charlotte. The price was fixed through our vendor purchase program so no haggling. I should say that the $41K was the price of the vehicle through the program. no dealer fees or add-ons. I had a couple offers for a 2019 ORP with KDSS and moonroof without the XP Predator package down here in Daytona Beach for $38K but with dealer fees ($1,000!!!) and other add-ons the difference was minimal from the one I eventually picked up that had all the extras I was going to do eventually anyway.
I will say that the drive up to and back from Charlotte was worth it. The folks at Toyota Scion of North Charlotte were awesome. Highly recommended.
just my third post. so please give me a break. im in so cal and im kind of starting to get my feet wet in the market. i have gotten a few quotes on both 2019 and 2020 SR5P4wd and ORP and the quotes i got are between 4 and 5% below MSRP. the lowest quote i got was from longo at 8%below msrp on a 2019. so, with all the accessories that toyota adds at the dock, im gonna be looking for the highest percentage off msrp.
btw, elmore toyota in westminister has a killer deal on a white SR5p with a lift kit that looks like a great deal. but something like that would be overkill for me since it would be my daily driver.
