I think this is a great deal!

That is a great deal, but better deals have been had. My TRDORP (no KDSS, W sunroof) had MSRP of 44.1- I rolled out at 38.1. I worked 3 dealerships at the end of the month to get there. Others have done a little better, if you read a bit. All comes down to dealer motivation, Inventory on hand and rarity of color/options yours has.

It seems kind of high (only $800 off) but I'm waiting for some others to get back to me.

If you're willing to head to san diego, I found that Frank Toyota offered very aggressive quotes (that's where I bought from). Toyota of Carlsbad and Toyota Escondido provided moderately aggressive quotes but never matched Frank. This was for an Off Road. Could shoot them all an email to see if it's worth a drive down.

I just put a deposit down on a Silver OR without KDSS for $35,200 before TTL from Molle Toyota in KC. They knocked off $5500 off MSRP for any trim of 4runner (which is the deal I ended up with) and $6250 off any 4runner they have on site (they had mainly SR5 and limited and I just wanted a base silver OR). They were few thousand dollars cheaper than anywhere else in Iowa. One dealership said they would be losing $250 if they gave it to me for that price. Anyways, I got the name of this dealership from this site and greatly appreciate the help and guidance from so many ppl! I would never have reached out to them without this thread.

So are you ordering a 21 model then? I’m thinking of ordering a Trd off-road myself and I guess the 21 window is open for orders now. Sounds like you've got great deal!

I got a 2020. They didn’t have any OR’s on-site for that dealer so that’s why I had them get it from another dealer. Would have been sub $35k if they did (or $6250 off MSRP for any trim).

Hi all! New to the forum. This thread has been extremely helpful; thanks to everyone for commenting.

Just for a few more data points, the best I'm seeing around the Chicagoland area after about 10 days dealership visits/calls/emails, is $40,397 (sale price) for an ORP with KDSS (no other options, magnetic gray). I do want the KDSS after some test drives, which is limiting my options.

Still seems a bit too high from the data I see here. Most dealers don't seem willing to budge much from the $42k range.

Yup seeing the same trend in Illinois in general. I am expanding the search to other states. I am looking for ORP Black with KDSS and moonroof, Further limiting the choices. All the best with your search.

So you paid 42k for a 51k MSRP Pro? I’m curious how/what the 10,200 discount is. A sales price of 46k on a Pro would have been a pretty solid deal.

Ahhh okay. So with that, 46 isn't a bad purchase price, but the dealer clearly just took from the purchase price and added 1k in fees that are fictitious. They would be able to report that they sold the Pro over invoice (around 45k is invoice) to Toyota and then make straight profit from the excess fees they hit you with.
I would also look into the extended warranty you purchased and reach out in the extended warranty thread on here to compare pricing for the warranty they sold you. You can get a 10year/100k mile Toyota warranty for a little over 1k.
As long as you are happy with the deal you got, then it's a good deal.

I got a 2020 AG for less than that sheet, those fees really add up. Focus on OTD price, not base price for the vehicle.

Agreed. The only variable then becomes tax rate - those who do not pay sales tax end up with a "better deal" when compared side-by-side.
I paid just over 45 for my '19 Pro last year, which was $500 under invoice. I only had the normal processing fee of $300 and then TTL - tax rate here is 7.5 or 7.75%.

For sure, 4.75% where I'm at so certainly less than the OP!

Supplies are super low right now, dealers are raising the prices back up to close to 2-9% off msrp. Im looking at an ORP with:

1. KDSS
2. Moonroof
3. Wilderness package
4. TRD Wheels gray
5. Pro exhaust tip

MSRP at $47.3K, dealer is offering it $42.9K , thats about 9% off of msrp.


My other option is a used 2019 TRD pro with 20k miles for $35K


What would you go for 2020 ORP or 2019 TRP pro , after taxes and reg that will be a $10k difference.
