How much for a 2007 or 2006?

Hey guys.

This is my first post here and I intend to buy a used 4runner in the next 15 days.

How much should I expect to shell out for a 2006 or 2007 4runner with under 20000 miles on it? It has to be Titanium too

Any help would be appreciated. If anyone knows where one such beast is available, please let me know too!

I have looked up autotrader, carfax and all the others mentioned in the other threads. I also want to know how much lower the internet sellers usually go below the internet marked price.

I was hoping to spend a maximum of 26000 before taxes. Am I asking for too much?

I've seen a few internet ads asking for 25000-28000 which is why I also want to know how much lower they usually go from the internet price.

Also, where do I find this "PowerShopper" tool that has been mentioned in another post? I did use the search function but did not find it.

There may still be a new 2007 on a lot here or there, and they've got huge rebates.

Find out what a new 2008 would really cost you to take home (near invoice - nowhere near MSRP) and make sure you're spending less than that for a used one.

I received a quote from our local Halterman's Toyota in Stroudsburg, PA for 29,500 including taxes for a 2008. Is that good?

I've been told that somehow automobiles sell for cheaper around these parts in the Poconos.

Again, does anyone know what the "PowerShopper" tool that's mentioned in another post?

I will be parting with my Titanium Silver 2005 SR5 4x4 before my lease expires in January. It has a 4.0L V6, 5-speed auto trans, and currently is shy of 31,000 miles. (It has the rear spoiler and a power moonroof options, too.)

I have not worked out a price just yet, but used ones in good condtion with similar mileage in our market are easily fetching 23 to 25k at dealerships. You gotta hand it to Toyotas for having great residual value - one main reason I leased it rather than another vehicle.


Anyway, I'll probably put it up for sale in mid-November and see what happens. I can sell it myself, turn it in or purchase it for the residual value.

NOTE: As of today, 10-11-07, Carmax has a black 2005 SR5 V8 with 25,000 miles listed at their "no-haggle price" for $24,988.

If you look hard, I bet you can get an new 2007 SR5 for $26K with the rebate. That is the direction I would go. Maybe even a bit less.

A lot will depend on the trim package you get, Limited, SR5, Sport... Carmax has several in your price range, but no Titanium.
I just bought this 2006 Limited, 4.7 V8, from them for $29K.
It has 33K miles. This was $4-6K less than anywhere else I could find.
I would keep checking the CarMax site.

The rebate in my area is now $3000. I would hope that it is the same for you.

If it helps, I just picked up a new 07 SR5 with third row/sunroof/side airbags for $26500, taking the $2000 rebate. So I think your price range for a new 4Runner is obtainable.

I recently purchased my 2007 SR5 4X4, sunroof, side airbags, tow package for 26,000 (minus tax/license) after the $2500 rebate we have in CA. If you are financing, you will probably get a better interest rate on new rather than used.

Go new if your budget allows. Sounds like it does...

Did you check Craigslist? Dealers have alot more room to negotiate on used cars. I picked up my 05 SR5 with 17k miles for 21,500 with the 26000 price still on the windshield.
