what would you guys say the typical cost for a valve (job) adjustment runs? And what is a ball park typical interval for a 22re?

If I did it for someone who wasn't a friend, I would say about $25-$50... It's a pretty easy task and only takes about 30 minutes or less.

Well, haven't the tools or know how at this point, so what would be reasonable at my local, family owned toy shop?

You'll spend less on tools, parts and a chilton manual.....and learn at the same time

Agreed!! You'll buy a flat head screw driver, 12MM wrench, and a feeler gauge. You have the internet so you can get the instructions from the FSM. Spend about $15 on cheap tools if you must at harbor freight.

Harbor freight is awesome!! I spent $42 today and got 5 4" "C" Clamps, 4 90* magnets, and one magnet ground for my welder. Not bad for a whole $42. :)

Well amigos, as you know time is money and knowledge is time. I have limited amounts of each (mechanically), and would rather pay to have it done properly as opposed to my learning curve. SO, WHAT WOULD I EXPECT TO PAY? Not that I even need it, im just curious. If anything, i guess ill post what THEY say. It's like with my ducati valves " yeah yeah, save a clam and do it yourself", I say "no thanks".

300-500 bones. Im not too keen on my quotes, but you know who would be a good one to ask. The dealer or a shop....
