How to fit 275/70/17 with 2.5 Inch Lift

So after some research from all forums all over the internet. I have come up with the following method that appears to be the procedure required to fit 275/70/17s on 2.5" lift (ie:daystar).

1) Adjustable Upper Control
2) 1.25" Wheel Spacers
3) Pushing Fender Liner Forward
4) Cutting Lower Bumper Triangle

Can anyone confirm that this is the correct method?

Can't really confirm it. Every truck is different. Some have no issues running 275 in stock height. But what you mentioned is a good place to start.

Oh, if you can, ditch the daystars and get a real lift.

By putting on spacers you pretty much assure that you'll need to trim. Not much, but you'll need to. I'd say you're on the mark with what needs to be done, but as mentioned, every truck is different.

I have this setup. Day star 2.5 front and 1.5 rear with 275/70R17 KO2's. At first my wheels were stock with 1.25 spidertrax spacers and I just moved the fender liner forward. No need to cut the triangle. I also had to do the cab mount chop to clear at full lock. No need for upper control arms either. Now I have FN FX pro wheels and no spidertrax spacers and it still clears.

I'm also waiting for my xreas to go out so I can replace my suspension with something better. But for now I'm happy with the the day star spacer lift.

I have the 275/70/17 BFG KO2's with a 2.5ish lift. Just had to move the fender liner foreword. I love this size tire. Before I had the 255's and I didn't really like the tall skinny's. I'm currently adding a new lift.

I know this thread is dead and I hate revamping old threads but I am in the market for tires and can't pick between 275/70/17s or 255/75/17 (C-rated tires). I wanted to know what your personal experience was/is with both size tires?
