Took the truck to the open ride at the flats and had a great time. having that open rear killed me though. Made it about 3/4 the way up Easy St before i couldn't get any farther, then proceeded to become a trail plug. Tried to back up and get out of the way and about got stuck in the middle of the trail. come to find out one of my front hubs got unlocked somehow :redbrick:

And of coarse I found somethings that need some attention. With the weight of the front bumper and winch my high steer hits my oil pan just barely at full stuff, so some extended bump stops are in order because i like the height i'm at now. Also i need to get a new PS reservoir, the reservoir i have now is too large to get above the PS pump and causing problems.

I didn't have time to get any pictures but i do have some GoPro footage ill see if i can upload.

You can probably pound out the cover from the inside, just be careful not to punch through. Time for diff armor.

I jacked up the front end locked the hubs and spun the tires and didn't hear any rubbing so i let it ride.
I got some TG diff armor and put a couple inches of weld on it for the ride at the flats. It will get cut off soon and replaced with a Barnes cover, because i'm really not very happy with my ram mount anyways.

Yea I personally would not mount the ram like that, for fear of ripping that thin cover open.

Yep exactly what i'm scared of, saw this on a build thread on nc4x4

Ok plans for the next couple of weeks;
-install new KRC power steering reservoir and cooler
-set-up new bumpstops for the front
-replace all Vac lines in the engine bay. most of them are starting to crack.
-install new 3/4 inch LED turn signals in the rear. the ones i have now are busted up pretty good.



These cheap procomp leafs flex pretty good.
The rear springs on the other hand...:nono:

New PS reservoir mounted! and now my pump cavitation problems are gone.
I decided to go with a KRC reservoir, It saved me $20 over a TG reservoir. Also I like how the return line is lower since my ram raises and lowers the fluid level quite a bit.

the truck went on its first "long trip" today. 4 hours of highway driving to pick up some tires in Concord.
I think i was the slowest vehicle on the highway.

The ones on the truck are 33x12.50 ProComp Xterrains

The ones in the back are 35x12.50 KM2's

Went ahead and put the 35's on since i have a buyer for my 33's. I'm really liking this lift height/tire combo.
I need to go ahead and Get an IFS width rear to keep my back tires off the frame rail.
