thanks! I cant tell too much difference in the lighting, neither of them are very bright to start. I do think i have these round lights adjusted better than the ones that where on it.

Not too much of an update.
I wrapped all the areas that may be prone to abrasion on my hyrdo assist line and PS line with some heater hose. Not fancy but it will do the job.
I also finally got around to cutting (most) of that stupid torque rod bracket off my axle. well until i ran out of cut off wheel.
I'm going to be busting ass and dumping $$$ here in the next month to get this thing ready for a trip to Harlan at the end of April. Here's the "to do" list before then.
-modify rear ifs housing for e-locker and get the axle put in
-get my front bump stops welded on
-swap front springs for RUF pack
-Gear front diff and get barnes cover welded on
-51" rear springs

I saw one of these trucks close to birmingham yesterday but it was yellow...is your paint original or was painted different that way

The park is Big (8,500 acres) but the trails are really still undeveloped. The trails are pretty rocky, but most are easy. Trails are not marked too well and there are no difficulty ratings. There a lot of dead end trails, a few of witch that can be near impossible to get back up if its muddy(ask me how i know
). I didn't get a chance to check out any of the single track trails because my buddy was on a 4wheeler. I talked to the guy working the office for a while. He said they have plans to open more trails this spring/summer. And some trails going into different parts of town including the hardees in Mtn City.
If you want to check it out one weekend let me know. I wouldn't mind going back to check out some single track trails.

Time to modify this rear housing for the e-locker. sorry in advance for the crappy cell pics.
step one. remove the 3 studs on the far right of the housing(side where the motor goes)
step two. throw the gasket on there and see what your working with.
step three. apply booger welds to the two areas where your 111mm studs will have to go.
step four. grind weld flush to the gasket mounting surface, and no farther.
step five. mark the areas that will have to be cut out.
step one. remove the 3 studs on the far right of the housing(side where the motor goes)
step two. throw the gasket on there and see what your working with.

I am not a machinist, but i did stay at a holiday in express last night.......
I've got a hell of a mess to clean out of this axle.
It was quite tricky trying to figure out how to get this secured on the mill. I ended up having to tack some steel to the cover to clamp in the vise.

I've been really busy with work and trying to get this truck ready for the flats this coming weekend.
Since the last update I got the rear e-locker with 4.88's installed into the 87 housing and put it in and re geared the front to 4.88.
While the front axle was apart I rebuilt it with new seals and bearings. Found out my pass. Side axle tube is bent trying to get my axle back in, I don't think it's bad, but it made it a pain getting the shaft in. I also found out that TG supermetal knuckel studs strip out at around 100ft.lbs.
In between all of this my clutch MC started leaking on to my floorboard, so I'll have to replace that. And today the truck started running like Crap and miss firing. After a little investigation I decided to replace the fuel pump and that seems to have it fixed.
needless to say I've had my hands full with this thing lately.

Yep its this weekend. Due to rain the benefit and hill climb are being rescheduled, but they are still having an open ride.
Oh and lowrange sent me two arp studs for replacement!
Weather it was or purpose or on accident I don't know lol.
