I didi a bad bad thing...

just order one, like any good product it's hard to find. I get a new trail/sport/4Runner every couple years and always order no problem at all. I like the idea of having something exclusive.
 
If I was spending upwards $40k on a car, I would get one the way I wanted.

If you are shopping for used, sure, you would have to settle, but new? No way would I buy a new car and not get specifically what I wanted.
 
I like my TEP has everything I wanted. Still working on a few add on but overall it drives like a King!!:roll:
 
I went SR5 for the simple fact everything a TE had I could add a better version of it aftermarket. That and I didnt like the silver/black bumper crap they have on the TE/PRO. If the LE didnt have such an ugly face and chrome I would have opted for that for the center diff maybe
 
Was it that new aluminum body F150?

It might be a great vehicle, but I don't buy the first year of anything, even a Toyota. Just asking for it. Let someone else take the risk, then I can go on message boards and find out what is up with the car.

Not sure how you would ever have found that issue with Nissan Xterra when they moved from Japan to the South, something like there was a heat exchanger between radiator and something else and it was leaking after 50k miles.

its great is you plan on just staying with a 3" suspension lift ... anything higher you'll have problems. But you can do a 2" BL too

I'm seriously thinking of ripping mine out and going drop bracket lift ... but I do like the kdss on the street

Yeah but Ford doesn't have first year gremlins, they have gremlins in every year of all of their vehicles. :) LOL!
 
I'd go with a limited if I bought another. I miss the creature comforts my Tundra limited had. I'd just go aftermarket for all the offroad goodies

Agree with the OP, just order one. The only issue with ordering is you have to wait.

I can tell you this much about my experience. I had a 2010 SR5 and even though I had the moonroof, I missed all of the other premiums. Now that I have a Limited, I am so spoiled. Love the leather and ventilated seats. The wheels are beautiful (except for the fact that they're not wide enough for such a large vehicle). Love the front and rear parking sensors. Love the push button start and never needing to pull keys out of my pocket. My wife loves not needing to put it in 4WD. Besides the wheels not being wide enough, the other two things I think Toyota dropped the ball with on the Limited (and of course every 4R trim level) is not having a power lift gate, and that it doesn't have one higher gear. And by the way, Ford, Chevy, and Dodge (including Jeep) are all overpriced pieces of junk.
 
I just got my TEP last week. Had to get it sold while it was still on the boat from Japan. It was a little crazy and hard, HARD to find ANY Trails. The new Limteds are AWD and not so much 4WD. The SR5 is nice, but I am happy the Trail didn't have the slider, and I didn't have to deal with a 3rd row seat. I personally haven't found anything that I don't like about my TEP yet, but that's just me. I vote you get another trail.
