It was $34155 out the door. Still have to register which is going to be another $600-800... My tax rate was really low (4%) bc of where it's registered. That saved me an extra $1200. I love the BP. Not sure if it will look as rugged as the grey/black/etcs offroading but I'll just have to find out for myself...

Due to the different tax rates, licensing fees, etc, comparing OTD price across state lines is futile.
In some parts of CA, your sales tax is over 10%. Here in AZ, I live in a 8.2% tax jurisdiction, but the dealer I bought it from is in a 9.3% tax jurisdiction and you pay tax where you buy, not where you register. The Vehicle License tax here in AZ is 2% of the car value the first year.
My total Taxes, title and license for a 2011 SR5 was $3,650. :redbrick::jaw drop:
Tonight I bought a 2011 SR5 4x4 36,345 MSRP and before the aforementioned fleecing, I pd. $32,100 + a $400 doc fee = $32,500. Add taxes and I was back up to the EXACT MSRP price. WOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!
If I would have purchased the car in Oregon my tax would have been ZERO.
Were it not for my bankrupt state, I thought I got a good deal.

congrats!!!! yes i agree with you. my point is to try to get the best possible deal, and at the end of the day when you pay 35+ K, a few hundred extra will not make a big difference.

I wish this were true in Massachusetts (aka - Tax-achusetts). I paid 6.25% (and I will continue to pay an annual excise tax). I live within 30 Minutes of "Tax Free NH". Unfortunately, automobiles purchased by Mass residents are taxable in Mass.
If I keep my T4R for another 10 years (as my last T4R), my effective tax rate (Sales Tax + 10 years of excise tax) is effectively ~15%.
I picked up my 2011 Mag Grey SR5 (CP, DJ, EC, TI, R6, 3T, 5A, CF) in September as follows (No Trade):
Sticker $38,947.00
Invoice $35,014.00
My Price $34,014.00
Tax $2,125.88
OTD $36,139.88
10 Years of Excise Tax = $3,164 (NPV ~ $3,000)
Total Tax = ~ $6K on $34.0K = 15%
I should have explained myself. I went through this in my head, but didn't put it on paper very well. If you buy a car within the same state, you pay tax where you buy the car (city A), not where you register the car (city B). If you buy a car out of state, you generally pay taxes in the state you buy it in, and get a "Credit" in your state against taxes owed (you buy in TX with a 6% tax rate and register in AZ with a 9% tax rate, you pay 6% in TX and 3% in AZ). If you buy a car in a state with higher taxes, you DON'T get a refund (Buy a car in CA with 10% tax, register in Oregon with 0% tax, you don't get your money back from paying CA tax).
That is why I like to compare apples to apples - price pd vs MSRP. You got a great deal, 1k under invoice. The rest of the stuff depends solely on your state's legislators.
I realize it is different in different states. Most of us live in sane states, though, so the ballpark OTD is pretty relevant.
We pay 5% sales tax in WV.

I got it in Chicago. I am posting these details/pricing because i think i got a good deal and i want everyone who is planning to get his 4R to be informed that you can easily go 1000 below the invoice price, just be determined, informed, and tough during the negotiations.
I just bought mine on black friday. I have everything you describe, minus the remote start, add Toyo Elite Guard:
$32,339.97 out the door (includes tax/tag/title). Got mine in Greer, SC.

Just got my CS SR5 (premium interior, etc) for $36k OTD here in Northern IL ( Rockford), but that included the 8year 125k extended Toyota warranty. Could have haggled a bit more but time was an issue. I'm super stoked to have a 4runner again, grew up in my parents 89 and have wanted one since
