Chalk it up to being new to the forums, being a proud new but totally inexperienced 4Runner owner, or just being technologically challenged in general......but I've searched for nearly two hours and can't find a satisfactory one-stop shop answer to my question.

My local off road shop will be installing an Icon Stage 1, LR UCA's, and Airlift 1000 on my new 2012 Limited next week. I am VERY anxious about the install, and although it's a very proficient shop, they've never done an X-REAS disable w/ lift installation.

I want to give them the best information I can to prevent turning my shiny new beauty into a crippled beast.

So, the moment you've all been waiting for— the question:

Where can I find the BEST step-by-step instructions for disconnecting X-REAS?

Thank you, and I apologize in advance for rekindling a long-dead issue. Any information you folks can provide would be greatly appreciated.

It's obnoxious that I've searched so long to no avail...but just rest assured that I'm looking forward to being an active contributor to this forum community...just need to get my sea legs.

It's not you, but good on ya for trying.

Use Google, and this structure:

site:5th gen T4Rs - Toyota 4Runner Forum XXX XXX

Example: site:5th gen T4Rs - Toyota 4Runner Forum XREAS

And Welcome.
 
yeah, i find google to be much better at finding things than the forums built in search function. i typed in 5th gen x-reas and the 2nd result was the link i posted. genius
 
To clarify what Philsey is saying since the forum automatically eats his instruction and turns it into a hyperlink, you want to do this in the Google search box (quotations around your search term are optional and function the same way as a regular Google search):

Is this any different from using the Google Custom Search at the header of this page? It almost always turns up the correct info and much better than the vBulletin search dropdown...
 
Welcome to the forum! BTW, you need to post pictures the second your truck gets off the lift at the shop! :boink:

I plan to post pictures of each modification step. It will be another 10 days or so (still waiting on lift to arrive), but I'll give a full write up of everything.
