Gosh, these look good. After seeing this I think there's no going back. I think LED Toyota lettering (like on the old FJ40 grilles, but lit with white LEDs) would look AMAZING. Something like this is just the chef's kiss on the rest of the build: 2006 - 2009 4Runner Grille Insert

Why is the backlit TOYOTA lettering so expensive though? Seriously, I can't find a pair for less than $350.. and I can find non-backlit letters for just $40. Am I looking in the wrong places or something? Could somebody help me out? Going to probably attempt this some time soon and LED lettering would be SWEET!

What mesh did you use?
I was looking for a hexagonal mesh that appears to be that depth & gap size, but yours seems larger that I have found. I really like the look.

Took a newer knockoff Tacoma Grille and cut it up to fit the shell of my 4th gen. Secured it with zip ties and some adhesive. If you decide to go this route, make sure you only cut small bits at a time to make it as snug as possible. There is a slight curve to the Tacoma grille, but it can be worked into the 4th gen shell.

Couldn't find one for $70, this is the least expensive one I could find, $108, all others are $175 and up.

Sure thing, my setup has changed quite a bit since then though - I had 295/70R17 Milestar Patagonia M/Ts before.

Dobinsons IMS 3"/3" extended travel front / long travel rear, 35X12.5R17 Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003, I made the grill myself.

Here she is now - a little different. :hat:
