ICON C/O Adjustment Questions

I have the 2" coils in the rear and the collar on my front coilovers is maxed out. My coilovers have the standard 650lb springs. It still has a slight rake and I would like to get the front level with the rear but I think the 700lb springs would be needed for that due to the weight of the V8 and the front differential but by doing that I would worry about a rough ride.

BTW I don't haul much in the rear.

Interesting...I don't see why they would sell CO's that can't be leveled with a 2" or even a 3" spring. Seems odd. Well...MRT seems great to work with so I'll get them in and play with them and see what needs to be done. It better get level tho!!! I don't want any rake.

Standard travel Icons? My extended length say they're good for up to 3.5" of lift in the front on 650 lb springs. I haven't adjusted yet though, still waiting on my spanner.

Oh I have the extended travel with 650 so I should be good. Didn't even think of that. Chas did mention if I went with a front bumper and what not going up to 700 Springs might be worth it. But unless I bash up my stock front bumper I probably won't get a heavy metal front.

I went from 590 lb springs (OME 885s) to the Icon 650s and noticed an immediate difference, but I'm also rocking a lot of extra weight. Skids from front to rear, sliders, and dual batteries. I'll definitely be bumping up to a 700 lb spring once I get a bumper just to keep from preloading the spring so much.

I also used my cornfed 1 inch spacer from my previous spacer lift on the driver side rear with the 3 inch heavy duty springs to get rid of the "lean" so that worked much to my surprise, but made getting that rear spring in damn near impossible. :)

So curious...why the 1 inch spacer? Did you do that to make it a tad higher on the drivers side to compensate for the rear hitchgate and the offset tire and then the gas tank and armor if you have it? I've noticed mine is about about 1/4-1/2" off and was thinking of adding a 1/2" spacer since I'll be adding all that stuff as well. Then I'll need to crank up my fronts as I've noticed it is lower in the front as well on the drivers side (driver, battery, etc). Have others done this that you know of? Thanks!

I saw on here somewhere when i was searching on lifts that folks were using spacers on the rear driver side to get rid of what they call the "drivers side lean".

I had a 1 inch spacer laying around when i took my cornfed off, so i used it. :) Plus i am a husky kid so my weight probably contributes to the "drivers side lean" :hungry:
