Any idea what kind of shocks people would expect to pair with it? Well, other than Icon Omega's.
We have 2.5" piggyback shocks on order which are half the price of the omega series coming in at $398 per shock

LT,
Also, would love to get your thoughts on beefing up the spindles with the total chaos gussets, as well as your .02 on the TC alignment tabs and shock tower gussets.
Somebody here has done it but I forget who. I think too that I read somewhere that wheel spacers will be needed.
SoCalTrail has them. Of course he was able to do the grinding and welding on his own which helps with the cost. Us mere mortals will have to pay up!

LT,
What is going to be the cost of the shock hoops? Also, would love to get your thoughts on beefing up the spindles with the total chaos gussets, as well as your .02 on the TC alignment tabs and shock tower gussets. I'm assuming anyone running hard enough to justify running secondaries is going to want to think about these?
Icon hasn't sent out the official pricing yet, I should be getting that information this week.
We always highly recommend doing the spindle gussets and cam tabs if you are going to be pushing the limits of your suspension. It is a bit time consuming project but once it is done you won't have to worry about damaging those components. We haven't installed the shock tower gussets before since we aren't jumping the 4Runner or FJC but if that is something you might doing with yours it wouldn't hurt to add them while doing the rest of the work.
LT, Thanks! It was me on the phone earlier playing a game of 20 questions with you. Looking forward to receiving the shock hoops, LCA skids, and the TC gussets!
Hmmmm, maybe another Joneseyyy write up courtesy of High Tech?!:naughty:
I'd say that opportunity will likely present itself...I'll call this week and set up some time...have to send the coilovers back for a rebuild before bolting/welding the new goods.
What's up with your CO's joneseyyy?
40k miles on them and the front of my truck is much more heavy than stock, so combination of probably time to rebuild and also going with 700lb springs to better carry the weight.
Hi Joneseyyy.. got any numbers one what items you added at what weight? I just reached out to Duc to get on his schedule for this summer so I'll be having a conversation with Metal tech on this subject very soon too.
What spring did you start with? a 600lbs or 650lbs?
THANKS!
Okki
SW bumper ~100 incremental pounds?
Winch ~60 pounds
Dual AGM batteries ~80 incremental pounds
Skids ~100+ pounds
Sliders ~85 pounds
I currently run the 650lb springs.
