Icon LCA armour

Billy, I checked out the install instructions for the skids, and Icon recommends sanding the end of that bolt to prevent any CV boot issues. Is this the typs of fix you were considering to make it work?

No, to make them work you would need to drill new mounting holes in the skid as they don't line up. They are close but not close enough.

My concern with the boot is that even with the thin nut they supply and cutting off excess threads the nut may still contact the CV boot at full droop with extended travel coilovers. If you have standard travel C/O's this shouldn't be an issue.

Edit:
I should have looked at the link you supplied first. See pic 2, it's very close. It looked even closer when I had it on the lift. Just something to be aware of.

Hey Everyone,

The deal is the skids are for 03 - 09 4Runner and the 2010+ is not out yet. We did have it posted on the site for about a week saying "to current" and we certainly apologize about the website error. (Tacoma is 05 to Current) The R&D for the 10+ models was finished up today and will be headed for production in the next week. We expect to release these in about 3 weeks or so. If you purchased and have the 10+ kindly give me a call (951-689-4266) or shoot me a PM and I will take care of it at no cost to you.

Also there is no issue with the bolt.....you will need to sand the head a little, with that you will be ok. The ICON 2013 FJ TT is headed out to Moab this next week and we will report back about the on and off road testing that will be done to ensure everything is dialed.

We appreciate you all and def look forward to getting these out asap and on your rides. Any question let me know

Thank you,

Brad

Edit:

We have plenty of miles on the 4Runner models with the smaller and newer larger boot, even with closer clearance there has been no issue to date. Demello offroad has the smaller boot with EXT C/O's and no issue with plenty of abuse, and an ICON employee has the larger boot with EXT Travel C/O's and there has been no clearance issue to date there either.
